  Anyone else remember the Awake saying this?

  i may have put this in the wrong thread.

  if so, i'm sorry.. my conundrum is this.... i am almost completely certain that an awake back in the 80's/90's mentioned a group of rock bands we shouldn't listen to and i seem to remember them actually naming guns and roses.. i can't find anything now, and i'm wondering if it's the mandela effect, or if it's another case of the cdrom versions of the awakes being doctored again.. does anyone else remember this?

  The talk I remember was very carefully worded to not open any critism or legal issues. They said: "some of you, even in bethel, listen to music from bands with names that contain guns or dead. Is this Christian?"

  Meanwhile gay bland singers were OK.

  Since then they used Eternal Flame (if I remember the name right).

  Grateful dead made folky songs, I have baited witnesses with their benign sounding music more than once, then tell them who. Others are very good musicians ,composers and arrangers; Sting, enya, pink floyd, even Beatles.

  Contrast the kingdom maladies, which if people liked were either deleted or rewritten

  Interesting. In the US even we gun nut types think biden and friends are pushing war profits. Putin is old KGB but if our neighbors surrounded us with cocked guns we would react.

  The truth about biolabs, bribes will never come out. My opinion is putin used thermo bombs to destroy the germs.

  Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread returning is the most interesting on here for a long time

  That sinking feeling describes it. The only benefit will be the singles who are both "in" and in the bloom of youth. New meat market. The 12 year old who thought meetings were boring is now 14--connect the dots.

  Health will legitimately prevent some of us, but Simon forgets the mixed family pressure to attend.

  The elders who think they are Oral Roberts II may like the prestige.

  The donation we were asked for maintenance will go up with need of increased utilities. The shakedown for hospitality will increase ( an old sore subject with me). Gasoline will be a thing too.

  Once again the end did not come, and this is not even the worst plague or rumour of war we have lived through.

  Children outgrew all their meeting clothes. Being kept up late on school nights. Probably adults too got fatter.

  Shared halls like mine will have to hash out who gets the 3 or 4 o clock time slot. And the perpetual argument over who gets the hall for memorial.

  The governing body is a year late as far as following government guidelines.

  This will also mean door to door is soon coming back complete with crowding into a private home for that mess, with no parking.

  watchtower 1954 p.511 "why do watchtower publications now show jesus with short hair and no beard?

  because he is shown that way in older representations of him that are older then the traditional effeminate looking pictures.".

  watchtower 1968 p.286 "bible evidence and a recent review shows that jesus did have a beard..." charles russell style of beard was popular at bethel...till rutherford took over.

  any comments on the 04/2022 question from readers on divorce and remarriage.. "if a christian divorces his wife without scriptural grounds and then marries another person, how does the congregation view the previous marriage and the new marriage?".

  why does that even matter how the congregation views anything?

  they should be minding their own business.. if people move to a different area, the congregation wouldn't even know about.. (if a guy remarries a woman with the same first name, she would end up with the same name and no one would know).

  WT divorce mirrors or exceeds the world. The statistic they use is false. A lot of people make a good long marriage, a few cannot make anything work so add in a whole bunch of divorces to the average
